Medical Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Staff veterinarian for Grand Haven Animal Hospital.
Staff veterinarian for Ottawa Shores Humane Society. Dr. Smith set up the surgical unit from acquisition, to equipment selection, and personnel staffing. Then she became the veterinarian responsible for 5000 to 6000 animal appointments per year.

Autobiographical Sketch

The Dr. was born in Baltimore, Maryland in June of 1974.
The Dr. lived in many places due to the moves of her parents. (1974-1989)
She attended Sparta High School, Sparta, Michigan. (1988-1992)
She entered the Honors Veterinary Medicine Program at MSU and graduated in 1999. (1992-1999)
She completed operations as veterinarian for the Ottawa County Humane Society in December of 2001.
The Dr. opened SAFE HARBOR ANIMAL HOSPITAL at the beginning of 2002. She continues to service her clients and their companion animals while managing the clinic operations and maintaining a staff of 6 support personnel. (2002 to present)
